Loving, adored, strange
inner smile,
Stretched back a mile to
that first of firsts,
Stabbing thirst, it yearns
inside,
Burns in the onset of
that emotive
tide,
What you do, unclear, but
moved the unmoved,
Removed that outer shell,
lighting and warming
that inner chill,
Spilling out to none, but
that first of firsts,
Thirst, yearning to quench
in every way and form,
But burning, flooding, this
emotive storm...

Blemish.
Read between the lines
and break out the
box,
Smashin' the drum with
a handful of rocks,
No beat, eaten, reachin'
that other thing that
comes this way,
Patch in the mud, untread,
but tread whichever way
it wants,
Haunts those curves and
crevices unseen,
Keen, this thing, shattering
glass,
Sure, I'll bite, but does
it pass?
Neural in essence, twitch,
in tender stitch toward
the other end,
Whichever way does it
want to bend?
Following no one's trend...

Lost.
Crest peaking over
the horizon;
Much too far out
there.
Silent, the wave
burns that horizon;
Much too far out
there to care.
Kuan Yin's compassionate
gaze pierces through
that haze,
More than slightly, lightly
in a daze.
Hit the crest and over
the other side;
Much too taken, holding
on for the ride.
Lost, that soul, burning
in the sun;
Burning, yearning, and ever
on the run...

Distorted.
Distance shortened,
but lengthened
still,
Ruined, bottle, transluscent,
they spill,
Jumbled microscopic,
chemical overload,
Uncertainty, transparency,
in attack mode,
Flip the switch to
the other side,
No reaching, can't reach,
hang on, they go for
a ride,
Back and forth in a
turbulent sea,
Rotations, induced, chained
in illusions so free,
No words where thought
says spoken,
Lives, wasted, battered,
broken,
Jumbled neurons, the
synapse entwined,
Nerves misfire, they've
hijacked the mind,
Kisses forgotten, and
misses replaced,
Lost in the halls, reality
misplaced,
Save a voice, somewhere,
down there,
'I'm over here, and I really
do care.'

Notes From Purgatory.
Faith? In what? Impossible
odds, bad tidings 'round
every turn,
Dead set to watch me
burn.
Own up, but they won't,
though decisions don't make
themselves,
Turned the other way, cut
it up, place it on different
shelves.
Collecting dust, so they
can move on, in limbo
sitting still,
No forward, no backward,
just tears, fears, and a
useless amount of
will.
No way out but through
the dark,
Stark raving, but together
somewhere,
This bite is worse than its'
bark.
Heart to heart, torn apart
by left over things that
should not have been,
Tear it out, cut it up, but
it digs deeper within.
Worthless, helpless, just
help, but the words do
not form,
None forthcoming, left
alone to brave that
storm...

Inward Revolution.
Dispensible, disposable, long
reign the fallen king,
Drown in fear, what comes near,
in fear of that inner breathing
thing,
Just a wing on the cusp of
IT,
Way out, onward, nowhere,
just another way to
split,
Dispensible, disposable,
long reign that forgotten
one,
That long lost irradiated
dispicable son,
Ape in the eye of God,
survived the violent turbulent
evolution,
Revolution against that
disposable thing, toward some
debated solution,
Hit in the eye, blackened,
recourse without a
back end,
That twitchy stitchy wounded
hole,
Ever radiant, that neglected
soul...

Apprehensive.
Apprehension says it
best,
Maybe its real, or just
another test??
Opportunities as time
moves backward,
Yet difficulties as time
moves forward,
Which way up and
which way down?
Severed ties crowd and
drown,
But lost and found
guiding the
way,
Whatever could have
been, making for
another day,
Standing alone in
disarray...

Riot.
Riot in mind and its'
easier to hate,
But hate in the long
run doesn't change
fate,
Smile all it likes it
doesn't smile
here,
Holding tight to
dreams long loved, but
never to hold them
near.
Riot in heart as it
beats against the
grain,
Marching to that open
door and break
away the chain.
Riot in the soul and
its' empty hollow
hole,
To fill it with what once
shone bright and finally
be made whole...

Misleading Words.
Remember? I can
never forget,
That first kiss in that
tent,
Summer nights with
no regret.
That game was lame,
but the company was
perfection,
Days and days, an
hour ad infinitum.
Lost that time somewhere
down the line,
Words lead astray, lonely,
night and day,
Lost my way, no more
Summer day laying in cold
nights' dismay... Without you...

Moments.
A perfect moment in a
perfect place,
Made perfect only by one
perfect face,
Ice and snow, gone in a
short embrace,
But long, forever, that's held
within,
Feeling, soft, flowing, lived
again and again,
If only, if ever, but then it
was gone,
Head high, smiling wide as
though the day were
won,
Right then, and right now,
always perfect, that
moment, that
now,
Over and over, living
there somehow...

Spider Webbed Glass.
Paces, keep in step,
traces, mind the
gap,
Lost, in figurative,
at least imaginative, ever
in place, such
a sap...
But eyes for one, seeing
none,
Forever torn, incomplete
and in retreat,
Maybe, but maybe is
a gamble,
Ramble on, shamble,
tattered by the
self... Trample.
Whatever, like a stone
alone, stuck at the
fork... No road.
Bodes the same in
either case,
Alone, nary a mark
like that again,
So, to sit, and here
remain...
Mind the gap, press
and step in line,
Fine, though time proves
otherwise, wise? Not
at all,
Far did I fall... Won't
make that climb,
Not this time... Besides
pained heart, the head
hurts, falling apart...
