Down but not out,
Pain?
Immense..

Intense, hardly
focused or
thinking,

Blinking to fight
back leaking,
Memory, thought,
feeling,

Kneeling, unable
to stand,
Reaching out, but
for a particular
hand,

Breaking, shattered,
scared as hell,
Take a hammer to
this defensive
shell,

But still, focused,
even now,
Get back to home,
some way, some how...
